Position Overview:

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician to join its team serving the Central Maine region. The Infectious Disease Physician diagnoses, treats, and helps prevent infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and other microorganisms. They provide expert consultation for complex infectious diseases, manage hospitalized and outpatient patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and promote infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship.

 

Work Schedule

  • Hospital-based role with a mix of inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
  • Flexible scheduling with call coverage as required.
