Position Overview

The full-time physician will provide comprehensive infectious disease care across WIDC's inpatient and outpatient service lines, with dedicated responsibilities supporting clinical care, physician availability, and regional continuity for patients receiving infusion services through WIDC's Lakewood and Broomfield infusion centers.
The role includes collaboration with WIDC physicians, nursing, pharmacy, clinical operations, and administrative leadership to ensure safe, timely, high-quality patient care across both infusion center regions.
Opportunity Highlights

  • Full-time Infectious Disease physician opportunity within an established, independent, physician-owned specialty practice.
  • Clinical responsibilities supporting the regional needs of both WIDC infusion centers and associated hospitals in Lakewood and Broomfield.
  • Established 100% Infectious Disease practice with inpatient and outpatient services throughout the Denver metropolitan area.
  • Clinical opportunities include HIV care, PrEP, Hepatitis C treatment, infusion services, travel medicine, telemedicine, and the opportunity to develop a wound care practice.
  • Meaningful patient volume with professional autonomy and the ability to grow within a highly respected specialty practice.
  • Hospital rounding with advance schedules posted, along with opportunities to add rounding shifts as appropriate.
  • Exposure to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, infection control, and outbreak management programs throughout the Denver metro area.

Physician Duties - Lakewood and Broomfield Regions

  • Provide physician support and clinical decision-making for infectious disease patients in both the Lakewood and Broomfield regions.
  • Evaluate, treat, and follow patients whose care plans require coordination with WIDC infusion services.
  • Collaborate with nursing and pharmacy team members to support appropriate therapy plans, monitoring expectations, and clinical follow-up.
  • Remain available for physician-level questions related to infectious disease patients, including care coordination and timely clinical escalation when needed.
  • Support consistent clinical workflows, documentation standards, patient safety expectations, and communication practices across both infusion center locations and affiliated hospitals.
  • Participate in clinical quality improvement efforts related to infusion services, patient outcomes, access, and continuity of care.

Candidate Qualifications
