Infection Prevention Specialist, Vascular (Solventum)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a(n) Infection Prevention Specialist, Vascular, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

We seek an experienced sales rep to manage a sales territory focused on customer support, growth and strong relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of selling, territory management and portfolio growth. Here you will make an impact by: 

  • Account and territory management to deliver sustainable business growth based on targets / quotas 

  • Use data and analytics to inform business planning 

  • Identify and solve customer financial & clinical priorities & constraints  

  • Leverage hospital network & various contacts to identify expansion and conversion opportunities  

  • Persuade key stakeholders at account to advocate for proposed solutions and products 

  • Relationship management with key clinical and economic stakeholders 

  • Increase mix of NPIs 

  • Collaborate with channel/distribution/kitting partners to manage relationships and align on mutually beneficial tactics/programs 

  • Offer new and ongoing in-service, education, technical support and troubleshoot product-related issues as needed 

  • Leverage publications and industry guidelines to influence product adoption and standardization 

  • Drive contract compliance and standardization opportunities  

  • Demonstrate proficiency upon successful completion of sales training program 

  • Consult with clinicians on safe and effective use of products 

  • Complete essential business planning requirements and maintain sales call data utilizing Salesforce.com 

  • Support conferences, trade shows, and symposiums  

Driving Requirements This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for company business and participation in Solventum’s Fixed and Variable Reimbursement (FAVR) program. As a condition of employment, candidates must successfully complete a pre-hire motor vehicle record (MVR) review and maintain ongoing eligibility, including compliance with Solventum’s driver policy, insurance requirements, and annual policy sign-off. Ongoing monitoring of motor vehicle history will be conducted.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher and two (2) years of sales, clinical or related experience

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of sales, clinical or related experience   

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Current, valid Driver’s License

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Power Point, Outlook)   

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Proven track record of quota & target attainment 

  • Prior vascular access sales/clinical experience 

  • Proven experience in territory management & business planning 

  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing strong customer relationships with key influencers 

  • Strong understanding of clinical value drivers across care areas 

  • Customer focused selling and closing 

  • Experience navigating complex selling cycles 

  • Completion of a formal sales training program 

  • Experience using a CRM (i.e. Salesforce) 

  • Experience navigating new product introductions and the value analysis process 

  • Outstanding data and analytical skills 

  • Experience collaborating with distribution channel partners  

  • Understanding of hospital acquired infections and how to reduce them 

  • Industry affiliations (e.g., INS, APIC) 

Additional Requirements

In this role, you may be required to enter healthcare or other third-party facilities. Work location: Remote in Houston, TX sales territory

Travel: Field-based role with up to 50% overnight travel anticipated (may vary based on territory)

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $126,400 - $173,800, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
