Full Job Description

THE PRACTICE:

This role will align to Industry X’s Manufacturing & Operations practice.

Manufacturing & Operations professionals help our clients achieve their ambitions for digital transformation within their core manufacturing and operations throughout the full lifecycle of their assets. With domain expertise across consulting and technology they unlock new sources of opex and capex efficiency and effectiveness.

Manufacturing Consulting who can define and design the future state of Manufacturing companies (within the 4 walls optimization). This includes organizational, operational, and technical models to enable modernization of core operations across the breadth and depth of EHS, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Operational/ Manufacturing Excellence functions.

Professionals digitize plants, sites and centers by bringing cross-facility operations at scale. Our next generation production and manufacturing methods leverage AI, IoT, automation, wearables, and predictive analytics to enable multi-site plant optimization; to increase production reliability, product quality, worker safety and sustainable operations with a more productive digital workforce.

THE WORK:

  • Lead and support delivery of Life Sciences Manufacturing reinvention initiatives, with a focus on execution excellence, operational outcomes, and scalable solutions across development handoffs, tech transfer, and plant operations within large and small molecule, advanced therapy, and med tech manufacturing.  

  • Support sales pursuits and solution shaping for manufacturing‑led and supply chain–adjacent reinventions, contributing domain expertise across manufacturing operations, tech transfer, and engineering capabilities.

  • Apply a strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain value levers across pharmaceuticals, biotech, and MedTech, including upstream R&D handoffs and downstream commercialization and launch readiness.

  • Contribute to business and technology reinvention efforts that connect manufacturing execution, quality, lifecycle platforms, and supply chain systems, enabling continuity of data, processes, and decision‑making across the end‑to‑end value chain.

  • Leverage experience with manufacturing data foundations, including data‑as‑a‑product, knowledge graphs, data lineage, and AI‑enabled use cases, to support operational visibility, performance improvement, and cross‑functional alignment.

  • Manage projects or workstreams end‑to‑end, including scope, planning, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes, while adapting to evolving client priorities.

  • Build and apply industry, functional, and technical knowledge to support client conversations, solution development, and delivery of innovative manufacturing‑led ways of working.

  • Lead and coordinate diverse, global Accenture teams, providing day‑to‑day direction, coaching, and quality oversight, while leveraging AI and digital tools to improve delivery effectiveness.

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships at the manager, director, and senior director levels through clear communication, structured problem solving, and delivery credibility.

  • Collaborate across Accenture Supply Chain & Engineering team to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end solutions spanning manufacturing operations, lifecycle platforms, and supply chain.

  • Contribute to manufacturing‑focused thought leadership, including client‑ready materials, points of view, and case examples related to manufacturing transformation, lifecycle integration, and product launch readiness.

  • Develop and maintain awareness of the Life Sciences manufacturing technology ecosystem, including key platforms, vendors, and emerging capabilities relevant to operations and execution.

  • Support the evolution of Accenture’s Manufacturing reinvention offerings, with opportunities to grow into broader capability, account, or portfolio leadership roles over time.

  • The work could include any of the following processes:

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as part of a team focused on plant operations and operational excellence in manufacturing in the industries of Pharmaceuticals

  • Minimum of 3 years exposure to manufacturing processes - traditional or digital in factory/production environment

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with Six Sigma methods and experience in applying Lean Manufacturing methods

  • Understanding of related ERP modules (ex: SAP PP, PI, QM, etc.)

  • Understanding of Plant Control Systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, etc.)

  • Experience with analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MSRS, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 8 years' work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience. Industrial or engineering degree is preferred
