The Role

The Industrial Engineering Lead drives improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost by leading a team of Industrial Engineers focused on identifying and eliminating non-value-added activity across manufacturing operations. In this role you will lead the development of recommendations and implementation support for process improvements that enhance manufacturing efficiency, resource utilization, and product quality.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver who thrives in a competitive, fast-paced, and dynamic manufacturing environment. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize workflows, support production performance, and deliver operational excellence.

What You'll Do
  • Optimize workflows, labor utilization, and sequence of operations to improve manufacturing efficiency and performance.
  • Lead, support, and prioritize waste elimination and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Perform data analysis to establish shop performance metrics, identify trends, and solve complex operational problems.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, production supervisors, and shift leaders to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Develop, document, and improve standardized work, including time studies, work balance, and operational methods using industrial engineering measurement techniques.
  • Analyze existing operations and recommend practical, cost-justified improvements that improve use of personnel, equipment, materials, and floor space.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, manufacturing, and leadership teams to implement improvements and support plant initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Industrial Engineers by setting priorities, removing barriers, and supporting technical and professional growth.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, performance feedback, and accountability to ensure team deliverables align with plant and business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across the team.
  • Support project implementation and plant initiatives, including off-shift and weekend coverage as needed.
  • Coach, guide, and support Industrial Engineers while helping build technical capability across the team.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 3+ years of Industrial Engineering experience
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, time studies, and motion analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to interpersonal styles and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to support initiatives on an off shift.


Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience.
  • Experience with project management and cross-functional initiative execution.
  • Working knowledge of computer-aided drafting (CAD) tools.
