By joining our manufacturing and distribution team you will assist the Principal Industrial Engineer in planning and implementing facility related improvements and up-grades as well as introduce new systems and technologies to ensure DC equipment and infrastructure operate at sustained, optimal, efficiency!
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer. This position will be based at our Southaven, MS, distribution center. Responsibilities: - Implement DC-based improvement projects that result in a safer, more efficient work environment.
- Follow, monitor, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Develop fundamental understanding of DC operations, LEAN principles, problem solving techniques.
- Work closely with upper Management, Supervisors, External Suppliers, Contractors, and Equipment Manufacturers.
- Test newly installed automation and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
- Contribute to completing projects on time and within or below budget.
- Assist in the coordination of requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment and automation.
- Competent in AutoCAD layouts and building databases and reports in all MS office applications including Access and advanced Excel skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned (write standard work, train standard work, assist Supervisors, develop Continuous Improvement program, support new start-up initiatives, support and perform data extractions / reports / analysis).
- Travel to other Siemens facilities to assist with implementation new processes.
You9ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Minimum of BS in Engineering (Manufacturing or Industrial preferred) accompanied by 1+ years relevant experience (including internship and / or co-op).
- Must possess a positive attitude, work well with others inside and outside the department and have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, independent worker who can take limited direction while making good decisions in the workplace.
- Evidence of creative problem solver/implementer with cost sensitivities.
- Computer skills required, to include warehouse management systems experience.
- Able to work in a non-climatized facility
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office
- 6 months + experience working in a high-volume distribution center or large retail operation.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
