JOB TITLE: Industrial Engineer

LOCATION: Stuttgart, AR

DUTIES:
  • Analyze, improve, and control manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies.
  • Perform capacity analysis, line balancing, and takt time calculations to align production output with customer demand and optimize labor and equipment utilization.
  • Conduct value stream mapping to evaluate end-to-end material and information flow, identifying bottlenecks and non-value-added activities.
  • Lead continuous improvement (kaizen) initiatives focused on eliminating the eight wastes (DOWNTIME) and improving throughput, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Design and optimize material flow layouts using lean principles to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Conduct time studies, work sampling, and motion studies to improve labor efficiency, reduce unnecessary movement, and standardize work content.
  • Develop and implement standard work to reduce process variation and improve consistency. Redesign assembly line layouts to enhance ergonomics, safety, and productivity using lean workstation design and ergonomic risk assessment tools.
  • Process and manage engineering change notices, ensuring timely implementation and updates to manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to apply design for manufacturability and design for assembly principles.
  • Support quality initiatives by conducting root cause analysis using 5 whys, fishbone diagrams, and FMEA, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain process documentation, control plans, and continuous improvement records to support audits and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor KPIs and lead improvement actions.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections and risk assessments using Intelex and Tumeke to identify hazards, evaluate ergonomic risks, analyze incident trends and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 1 year of experience in the job offered or as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or in a related/similar position.
  • Experience therein to include 1 year in process improvement, data analysis, inventory control, root cause analysis, project management, implementing lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies, and conducting capacity analysis, line balancing, value stream mapping, and time studies.
  • Also requires Green Belt Six Sigma Certification.


RATE OF PAY: $96,408 to $113,000 per year.
