Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

Jireh Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR is looking for an Industrial Engineer to support our busy fab operations. This person will be responsible for optimizing fab operations by analyzing capacity, constraints, WIP flow, and equipment performance. Drives data-based improvements, maintains line balance, and develops production strategies to meet customer demand, improve cycle time, and maximize fab efficiency and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Sets daily fab tactics by reviewing prior-day performance, identifying key tool groups and constraints, and defining action items to support production targets.
  • Analyzes and optimizes equipment capacity by modeling theoretical and practical capacity, including equipment availability, utilization, productivity, and tool efficiency.
  • Monitors fab loading, WIP, and wait time to identify potential bottlenecks, capacity gaps, and other issues; recommends actions to maintain line balance.
  • Owns IE projects for assigned production area(s), identifying constraints and opportunities and driving improvement initiatives with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Analyzes production constraints and capacity requirements to optimize fab utilization, throughput, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains analytical models, databases, dashboards, and spreadsheets to support capacity planning, production decisions, and tracking of key business intelligence (BI) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provides data-driven recommendations to management on capacity, loading, WIP, bottlenecks, and production priorities.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and process improvement to improve data visibility, decision-making efficiency, and IE productivity.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • Minimum Bachelor / Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operation Research, Management Science or related field.
  • 1-3 years of working experience, preferably in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL/Postgres, VBA, and Power BI is a significant plus.
  • Experience with data visualization, database querying, statistical analysis, or process modeling is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
