Shift: First, 5:00 AM to 2:30 PMJob Description Seeking an Industrial Engineer to support Apache Helicopter production within a low-volume, large-scale manufacturing environment. This role will focus on optimizing production processes, improving workflow efficiency, supporting execution planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities - Apply industrial engineering principles and manufacturing techniques to improve products, processes, and services
- Develop plant layouts, workflow sequencing, capacity planning, and accident prevention measures
- Design, maintain, and optimize production systems integrating facilities, equipment, supply chain, and personnel
- Conduct workflow analysis and develop models, databases, spreadsheets, and production metrics
- Research and implement process improvements to improve quality, reduce cost, and support schedule performance
- Support execution planning activities including project scheduling, shop load planning, and recovery planning
- Provide production support, supply chain logistics coordination, and performance visibility reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, ergonomic guidelines, and manufacturing design requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and production objectives
Required Skills - Experience with Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Engineering processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with workflow analysis, production planning, and process improvement
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, production operations, and scheduling practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills - Experience supporting low-volume assembly for large-scale platforms such as rotorcraft or military aircraft
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- Experience with Discrete Event Simulation tools such as Simio or ProModel
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Aurora or MS Project
- Knowledge of job scheduling and sequencing
- Experience with NX/Unigraphics or other 3D CAD tools
- Familiarity with APQP and PFMEA processes
- Experience with Teamcenter tools including PDM, Process Simulate, and Manufacturing Process Planner
Education / Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with typically 5+ years of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related experience.
