Weyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for Industrial Electricians at our Greenville Lumber facility in Grifton, NC. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. Pay is based on experience, with the ability to grow
up to $38.90 per hour. In addition, we have a shift differential that amounts to $2.00 per hour. This vacancy will be assigned to
graveyard shift. The hours may vary,
typically either 5:00pm-5:00am or 4:30pm-4:30am. Key Functions:- Manage the electrical systems in the manufacturing facility
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot all electrical systems in the operation
- Effectively maintain communications with maintenance personnel and supervisors, to perform mill maintenance duties (reactive and preventive) safely and efficiently
- Will also assist with basic mechanical maintenance functions as needed
Qualifications- Resume detailing your work history and education is strongly recommended for consideration
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or GED (or higher)
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience as an electrician in an industrial/manufacturing environment OR electrical degree
- Willingness and ability to work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot 480v and low voltage electrical systems, AC and DC
- Familiarity with troubleshooting, set up, and program variable speed drives
- Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Must demonstrate logical problem-solving skills and react appropriately in upset situations
- Excellent computer skills and fluency with standard Microsoft office products
- Willingness to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities
- Able to work with computerized maintenance systems for processes, stores, work orders, etc
- Demonstrated initiative with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects effectively and safely
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem solving skills
- Dedicated, self-motivated team member, willing and able to work independently and in a team system
- Ability to demonstrate open, honest, and regular exchange of information and treat all employees with respect and dignity
- Must be team oriented; putting team's needs ahead of individual interests and working to develop trust and respect
- Must be willing to work any shift, including rotating shifts plus weekends and holidays as operating conditions require
- Must be willing to work overtime as operating conditions require
- Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in an industrial environment containing wood dust and extreme heat and cold
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
The following qualifications are preferred: - Experience with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP or Maximo
- Familiarity with programming, repair, and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Control units (PLC's) in the operation
