What You Will Be Doing:

This is an unaccompanied long-term overseas field service assignment with the U-2 Program in Cyprus. The position calls for a skilled industrial electrician who can operate and maintain a full time, 24/7, diesel driven power plant. They will be responsible for maintaining the site power distribution systems in several aircraft hangars, office buildings, labs and shops. The selectee must be able to understand blueprints, engineering drawings and schematics. An understanding of motor controls and power is required. They will install, maintain and troubleshoot many different types of electrical equipment including air conditioning, frequency converters, DC power supplies and uninterruptible power supplies. When required they will install all types of electrical power systems using conduit, cables, panels, switch boards and transformers. A working knowledge of the National Electric Code is essential. They must be able to lift 75 lbs. and be able to work from ladders and elevated work platforms to 75 feet above the ground. The candidate is responsible for ordering fuel, spare parts, materials used for new installations, generate monthly reports and keep records and files on materials and maintenance. Selectee must be trained, tested and certified by the host to conform to local requirements for qualified electrical workers. Candidate must interact successfully with USAF personnel of all ranks, host base personnel and local nationals on a daily basis. May work odd hours and varying work week schedule. Position is designated as mission essential and world-wide deployable which means anthrax/smallpox vaccinations, chemical warfare training and exercise participation and other related training is required; can be deployed forward to another location from primary duty station. May be required to live in government quarters and travel by military airlift. Must accept and adapt to location specific rules and guidelines related to personnel safety, security, cultural awareness and acceptable behavior. Must comply with LM tax equalization requirements. Selectee will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidate must pass overseas physical on annual basis for duration of assignment.
A current Secret Clearance is required.

Basic Qualifications

-Selectee must have journey level experience as an Industrial Electrician.
-Must be able to work to all applicable safety orders and codes, domestic and foreign.
-The candidate must be able to understand blueprints, engineering drawings and/or schematics.
-Must possess excellent written/verbal communications and team building skills.
-Requires Secret to Start.
-Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,900 - $147,085. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
