Full Job Description
Position: Industrial Designer II - AMZ15459.10 Location: Seattle, WA Multiple Positions Available: Own the design of physical fulfillment and logistics systems around the globe, to develop optimal engineering solutions for the fulfillment and transportation network through site layout, equipment specification, material flow, process design, and intellectual property considerations. Innovate with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics, mechatronics, and other engineering innovations across 10 new fulfillment and logistics centers that are being built each year. Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective engineering solutions in very short periods of time. Simultaneously manage multiple high visibility projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects. Up to 25% domestic and international travel to perform role responsibilities may be required. 100% telecommuting permitted, work may be performed from anywhere in the U.S. (40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $125861 - $160000) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the master's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (1) Demonstrated ownership/management of engineering design projects related to complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics or high-speed manufacturing; (2) using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software. The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $125861 - $160000 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
