Are you the technician that everyone else calls for help? We are looking for a highly skilled HVAC professional who wants to do more than turn wrenches-someone who wants to mentor others, solve the toughest problems, and help build and lead a team for the future.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced field support for complex service calls involving large commercial and
industrial HVAC systems.
• Serve as the senior technical resource for service technicians, assisting with diagnostics,
repairs, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and repair centrifugal, screw, and scroll chillers, including air-cooled and
water-cooled systems.
• Troubleshoot cooling towers, pumps, hydronic systems, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, VAV systems,
refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical systems.
• Assist the Service Manager with technical support, job planning, manpower coordination, and
customer issue resolution.
• Mentor and develop less-experienced technicians through field coaching and hands-on
instruction.
• Identify project opportunities, equipment replacements, and modernization strategies for
customers.
• Help establish standards and best practices for Temp-Con's Industrial & Critical Systems
Service Group.
Qualifications & Experience
• 7-10+ years of commercial and industrial HVAC service experience.
• Demonstrated experience with large-tonnage chillers and central plant equipment.
• Strong understanding of hydronic systems, refrigeration circuits, electrical diagnostics, and
commercial HVAC controls.
• Experience with start-up, commissioning, and operational verification of commercial HVAC
systems.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer
service.
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
• Manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, healthcare, or mission-critical facility experience is highly
desirable.
Education & Certifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HVAC Trade School, Apprenticeship, or associate degree preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Factory training on major HVAC/chiller equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
