Full Job Description

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer drives lean transformation and operational excellence at our Lewisville facility. This role partners across teams to optimize remanufacturing and reverse logistics operations through automation, data-driven insights, and standard lean practices. You’ll challenge the status quo, eliminate waste, and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) while helping scale high-efficiency automated and manual processes.

This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX facility.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Lead and support lean transformation initiatives across manufacturing and logistics operations
  • Deploy and optimize automation solutions (equipment and systems) to improve performance
  • Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions
  • Establish KPIs, measurement systems, and SPC tools to monitor and drive results
  • Implement lean methods including standard work, 5S, kanban, TAKT, WIP optimization, and visual management
  • Partner with IT and engineering to deliver system integrations and digital improvements
  • Investigate and apply emerging methodologies and technologies in the field of continuous improvement, such as predictive analytics, machine learning, or Internet of Things (IoT) applications, to drive innovation and future-proof business processes
  • Support new product introductions (NPI), workstation setup, and line launches
  • Conduct time studies and process mapping to improve efficiency and throughput
  • Facilitate cross-functional projects and kaizen events
  • Promote lean culture through training, coaching, and team engagement
  • Collaborate with suppliers and partners to improve material flow, quality, and lead times

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operations environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office; strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Experience with data analysis and performance tracking (SPC preferred)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and comfort working in fast-paced environments
  • Experience applying data analysis and structured problem-solving to identify trends, evaluate options, and align recommendations with broader organizational goals
  • Ability to make timely, well-reasoned decisions and progresses work effectively in situations with incomplete or changing information

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Lean transformation and/or operational excellence experience
  • Six Sigma training or Green Belt certification
  • Experience with value stream mapping and kaizen events
  • Familiarity with Minitab, SQL, or data analytics tools
  • AutoCAD (2D) for facility layouts
  • Knowledge of consumer electronics or mobile device manufacturing

Pay Range:

$74,600.00 - $124,700.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
