Title: Automation Project Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (on-site) ---Relocation Package
Salary: $120,000 -$160,000 + annual bonus
Requirements: 8+ years in automation and controls projects

What You Will Be Doing

We're hiring a seasoned Automation Project Engineer to lead the design, programming, and deployment of advanced control systems. You'll collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions on time and within budget. From concept to commissioning, you'll manage projects, provide field support, and ensure quality, safety, and strong client partnerships.

What You Need for this Position

  • 8+ years of experience in Automation and Controls Projects
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Control Systems, Mechatronics, or Similar)
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Engineering or PE License
  • ISA Certified Automation Professional
  • Familiar with ISA, IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards for automation and control systems
  • Advanced experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for creating electrical drawings
  • Skilled in HMI/SCADA and DCS systems (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk, DeltaV, PCS 7, Experion)
  • Strong knowledge of BPCS, SIS, field instrumentation, and control devices
  • Familiar with industrial cybersecurity (IEC 62443) and automation standards (ISA, NEC, NFPA)
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, when needed
