BlackRock's Fixed Income platform is evolving toward a more technology-driven, AI-native portfolio management model. We are seeking an Associate-level Multi-Sector Portfolio Manager who combines strong investment fundamentals with the ability to apply data, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to real portfolio management workflows.
This is a highly differentiated opportunity to work at the intersection of public markets investing and next-generation portfolio management systems, with exposure to how investment processes are being scaled and transformed across the firm.
Your Responsibilities:Portfolio Management- Support the management of multi-sector fixed income portfolios across institutional and ETF mandates
- Assist with portfolio construction, positioning, and trade implementation
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and attribution
AI & Workflow-Enabled Investing- Apply AI tools and data-driven workflows to enhance:
- portfolio monitoring
- risk identification
- reporting and analytics
- Partner with senior PMs and technology teams to improve how investment decisions are generated and executed
- Contribute to initiatives focused on automation and scaling of investment processes
Process & Platform Improvement- Identify inefficiencies and contribute to improving portfolio management workflows
- Support integration of new tools and analytics into platforms such as Aladdin
- Help scale best practices across portfolios and teams
You Have- 2-5 years of experience in asset management, trading, or investment analytics
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets (multi-sector preferred)
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Demonstrated ability to apply data and/or AI concepts to real-world workflows
- Experience with Python, SQL, or data tools and dashboards or analytical reporting
- Strong interest in how AI and automation are changing investment processes
- BA/BS required
- Progress toward CFA (or CFA charterholder) preferred
For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$116,000.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$140,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
