Supply Chain Analyst II – MWT  

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will develop processes, tools, reports, and provide data analytics to support H-E-B’s supply chain strategic initiatives such as supply and demand forecasting, inventory planning, logistics, and cost optimization.  

We are looking for:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain related field
• Advanced analytical and project management skills
• 5+ years’ experience

As an Import Optimization Analyst II,  you’ll be responsible for project management  tasks, data processing, paperwork and recordkeeping related to our suppliers. You’ll partner cross-functionally with our buyers, sourcing managers, vendors, Corporate Compliance and other teams to process data and analyze global risks and determine efficiency opportunities.

What is the work?  

Analytics

• Independently identifies, documents, analyzes, implements, and communicates solutions to meet the needs of the business
• Defines and documents the current and future operational scenarios and work with other business areas and client groups to translate moderately complex business needs into solutions and/or business requirements
• Analyzes probable impact of recommendations and solutions on other business areas and client groups.
• Contributes to the cost/benefit analysis, design, and implementation of supply chain models for projects
• Provides support and resources for ad-hoc analysis requests, tools, development, and process improvement projects
• Identifies issues and gaps within current business processes and develops solutions which drive continuous improvement in the functional area

Import Optimization

• Import Optimization Analyst I tasks plus:
• Research and recommend cost savings opportunities
• Assesses potential cost-savings opportunities based on suppliers’ supply chain against HEB’s business needs
• Supports our customs compliance team in guiding suppliers through customs compliance requirements
• Supports our global logistics team in providing freight volumes from import suppliers to identify efficiencies.
• Presents to leadership and business partners on key performance indicators
• Supports training and education services to teams & vendors

Project Management

• Manages medium to large complexity projects that may encompass technologies, facilities, processes, materials, handling systems, or other business initiatives
• Ensures the project is on schedule, high quality, within determined budget, meets departmental scorecard, and creates business value
• Contributes to project efforts/status including developing project plans, schedules, risk assessments, and coordinating logistical team
• Proactively develops project management tools for Supply Chain
• Supports/delivers training and education services to teams & resources
• May lead, in conjunction with project teams, the delivery of processes, systems, processes, metrics and/or services in the agreed upon time frames
• Maintains client/stakeholder partnerships to ensure overall satisfaction
• a related bachelor’s or associate degree (preferred) and 5+ years of experience in logistics or compliance
• 5+ years’ experience in transportation
• 2+ years’ experience with sourcing methods

What is your background?

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field or relevant business/technical experience
• 5+ years’ experience
• Supply Chain Systems: Project Management Professional Certification preferred OR
• Supply Chain Optimization: Experience developing/maintaining engineered labor standards preferred OR
• Transportation Procurement: experience with freight term changes and logistics (Transportation Supply Chain only)
• Transportation Modeling: experience with analyzes freight networks preferred (Transportation Supply Chain only)
• a related bachelor’s or associate degree (preferred) and 3+ years of experience
• OR 5+ years of experience in logistics or compliance
• Experience in transportation
• Experience with sourcing methods
