Full Job Description
Implementation Scientist
• Apply implementation science frameworks to strengthen the adoption and integration of evidence-based approaches for preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and assess cross-cutting impacts on related injury areas such as substance use and suicide prevention.
• Coordinate and triage internal and external requests by using systematic review processes to ensure consistent, high-quality implementation of ACEs-related guidance, and support SMEs in identifying points of contact, providing technical review, and ensuring fidelity to recommended practices.
• Leverage client systems (e.g., SharePoint, CDAP, STARS) to improve information flow, strengthen implementation processes, and enhance operational efficiency across teams.
• Contribute to strategic planning by integrating implementation science principles into center-wide goal setting, research prioritization, and long-term program planning.
• Collaborate with Divisions and Offices to identify priority research and implementation gaps, and support activities that accelerate translation of research to practice.
• Develop and refine policies and procedures that guide implementation, evaluation, and oversight of OSIs projects to ensure replicability, quality, and consistency.
• Conduct gap assessments and participate in cross Center implementation-focused workgroups to strengthen program strategies and improve uptake of evidence-based interventions.
• Provide implementation-focused technical direction and coaching to team members, fostering collaboration and building internal capacity for evidence-based decision-making.
• Prepare technical documents-including SOPs-that translate complex scientific concepts into actionable implementation guidance for diverse audiences.
• Prepare and submit monthly Progress & Status Reports documenting the work performed in the previous calendar month.
• Perform additional duties that support the integration of implementation science across programs and projects.
• Travel up to one time per quarter, as needed, to support implementation-related activities, training, and partner engagement.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum education includes a PhD in public health, public policy, public administration, epidemiology, or another directly relevant field. Experience requirements include 10+ years in strategic support for government agencies, ideally focused on public health.
