What makes this role important at Ipsos?

We're looking for someone with a deep interest and expertise in data engineering and the dedication to apply that passion. We need someone with the technical expertise to expand and optimize our existing data pipeline and architecture. • Deploy and maintain an internally developed scalable Python data processing library, ensuring it meets project requirements and performance standards.
  • Ingest and assemble data from various disparate sources using SQL and Python, ensuring the data processing library efficiently handles diverse datasets.

Training and Support
  • Provide training to the Data Processing team on the Python data processing library and data pipeline best practices.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for the library and data pipeline workflows, ensuring team members can easily understand and use them.
  • Offer ongoing support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and optimizing the usage of the library and cloud-based pipelines.

Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with the library development team to provide feedback and conduct performance analysis, ensuring the Python data processing library evolves with emerging best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing infrastructure and codebases, enhancing system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify project needs and goals, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of data pipelines and Python libraries with broader project goals.
  • Lead the migration of code into production, providing technical assistance and guidance to optimize processes and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Identify tools and utilities used by local Data Processing teams, help document and drive standardization of the toolset used by all teams
