Position Description

The Implementation Lead provides overall leadership and accountability for AirHub implementation from User Acceptance Testing (UAT) through Beta Release, Production rollout, and transition to System of Record. This individual is responsible for developing and executing the integrated implementation strategy and ensuring technical, business, stakeholder, user, and operational readiness across each release.

The role leads the overall implementation function and oversees the Release & Production Readiness Manager and Training, User Support & Adoption Lead. The Implementation Lead works across Product, Engineering, Quality Engineering, Data, DevSecOps, EPA business lines, and external stakeholders to coordinate implementation activities, manage cross-functional dependencies and risks, and ensure AirHub releases successfully transition from development into sustained operations.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of experience leading complex enterprise technology implementations, system modernization, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise application implementations from testing through production deployment and operational transition.
• Experience developing and managing integrated implementation plans involving multiple technical and business workstreams.
• Strong understanding of release management, production readiness, UAT, organizational change management, training, user support, and operational transition.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Quality Engineering, Data, DevSecOps, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex implementation risks, dependencies, decisions, and executive-level escalations.
• Experience leading phased releases, pilots/Beta releases, production rollouts, and stabilization activities.
• Strong organizational change management and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience supporting large Federal technology implementations preferred.
• Excellent leadership, facilitation, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall AirHub implementation strategy and implementation team.
• Develop and maintain the integrated UAT  Beta  Production implementation roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and readiness criteria.
• Coordinate implementation activities across Product, Engineering, Quality Engineering, Data, DevSecOps, EPA business lines, and external stakeholders.
• Establish implementation governance and lead integrated implementation and readiness reviews.
• Define and monitor implementation entry/exit criteria and overall business, user, technical, and operational readiness.
• Manage implementation risks, dependencies, decisions, issues, and escalations.
• Coordinate UAT as a key implementation milestone in partnership with the Quality Engineering & Testing Lead and EPA business stakeholders.
• Lead organizational change management and business readiness activities.
• Coordinate with the AirHub Communications Lead on stakeholder, implementation, and release communications.
• Oversee release and production readiness, training, user support, adoption, and rollout activities.
• Coordinate Beta and Production rollout strategies, including phased implementation and transition from legacy systems where applicable.
• Establish implementation success measures and monitor readiness, adoption, and stabilization.
• Lead the transition from implementation and hypercare into sustained operations.

The salary range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. It has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, and internal equity. The salary for this role is expected to be in the $125,000- $145,000 range. Where a candidate falls within the band can be determined based on one or more of the following: skillset, experience level, achievements, education, geographic location, security clearance, involvement in corporate tasks, and other non-discriminatory factors. In addition to the base salary, this role will include benefits as described above. Valiant reserves the right to adjust the salary range, experience requirements, and position responsibilities at any time without prior notice.
