Responsibilities Position Overview: The Clinical Supervisor, RN in the Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit, plays a vital role in managing daily unit operations while providing exceptional patient care. This leader supports the team's professional development, ensures adherence to clinical protocols, and fosters a collaborative environment to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily clinical and operational activities of the Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit.
- Act as a mentor and resource to nursing staff, supporting their professional growth and performance improvement.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care and achieve unit goals.
- Address and resolve patient or staff concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and hiring processes.
- Monitor and analyze unit metrics to implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain an active presence on the unit to support staff and provide guidance.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Washington, D.C. (or ability to obtain before start).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a Progressive Care or Intermediate Care setting.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
