Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a imaging systems simulation environment.
- Experience with software development in Python and Matlab.
Preferred qualifications:- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
- Experience in one or more of the following: optical design, image sensor design and characterization, photo and video processing pipelines, ISP algorithms, 3D modeling and rendering, computer vision.
- Experience developing tools or performing simulation to map imaging hardware design to camera performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities- Develop imaging system simulation tools for Google's consumer hardware products.
- Define simulation workflows, capabilities, and performance goals, and validate against real hardware.
- Investigate imaging performance goals for multi-camera systems.
- Perform experimental evaluations of imaging system performance to validate functionality.
- Collaborate with our partners in System Product Design (PD)/Electrical Engineering (EE), Camera Hardware, and XR software teams.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
