DESCRIPTION

The Radiology Services Supervisor supervises licensed technologists providing diagnostic and patient care services. Monitors staff utilization and productivity and reviews imaging results to ensure appropriate application of equipment, systems, and protocols. Oversees radiology service operations, ensuring compliance with productivity and quality standards, internal policies, and external regulations. Adjusts protocols as needed to achieve high-quality diagnostic results.

Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives and recommends enhancements to departmental procedures, policies, and workflows to support high-quality patient care and efficient operations. Trains radiology technologists on new techniques, systems, equipment, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Mentors staff in achieving professional goals and identifying areas for growth. Collaborates with radiology leadership to develop performance improvement strategies and coordinate staff development, training, and competency assessment.

Communicates regularly across services to ensure quality diagnostic services and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams on improvements in patient care and operations. Participates in recruitment and new employee orientation. Evaluates staff performance and competency and establishes development goals as needed. Recommends staffing and budget changes to support efficient Radiology operations. Serves as a role model and resource for assigned staff. Maintains proficiency with protocols, workflows, and equipment across the department to support, shadow, and re-educate technologists as needed. Provides patient care as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area plus five (5+) or more years of relevant experience/training.
  • Licensed technologist in a radiology modality.
  • Experience with subject matter knowledge of a radiology modality, with ability to apply principles to an acute care setting to ensure operations meet regulatory standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • Venipuncture certification.
  • Registered Technologist for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) OR Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $123,000 - $237,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $58.91 - $113.89
