What You'll Do - Develop, test and implement new projects on-time and on budget within the Ignition development platform.
- Ensure the design and development of technology solutions properly fulfill all business requirements
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
- Design, update and interface with various database engines
- Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
- Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability and performance
- Resolve complex technical design issues
- Development of technical specifications and plans
- Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
- Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
- Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
What You'll Bring Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in programming or related field, or Associate degree in programming with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, or minimum 5 years related experience.
- Ignition software experience preferred. Preferably extensive hands-on experience with gateway scripts, templates, UDT standardization. Perspective knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient with MS SQL (advanced SQL knowledge is preferred)
- Proficient in Python.
- Knowledge and experience of ethernet networking and protocols
- Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Attention to details and data accuracy
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Java desired.
- Strong background in data modeling and database design concepts desired.
- Knowledge of Agile, Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development is a plus
- Mobile application development experience is a plus
- Knowledge of GIT repository management is a plus.
