Leidos Defense, Systems Integration and Test Team, is seeking a
Test Engineer. We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector, including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies. Our team works across multiple business sectors, with industry partners, and directly with the customer. Primary Responsibilities- Creating, modifying, and Executing test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance phases of hardware projects.
- Creating, modifying, and executing environmental testing on system and component level hardware.
- Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
- Performing test data analysis generating test reports from that analysis.
- Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
- Working directly with the customer and other support personnel on of the afore mentioned responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications- ABET accredited BS degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or relevant field with 4+ years of prior experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
- Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
- Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
- The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).
- Must be able to work full-time in Huntsville, AL.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- 4+ of experience with test planning and execution.
- Experience with ESS, HALT, HASS, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-810, and/or CE compliance testing
- Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator)
- Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices
- Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark
- Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
- Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
