Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist for a primarily remote opportunity for candidates located in TX, FL, NC, or SC. Candidate will support enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations by processing user access requests, maintaining identity records, and ensuring access is provisioned in accordance with security policies and compliance requirements. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate access administration while supporting audit readiness and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications for the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist:- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), user provisioning, or access administration.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as financial services, healthcare, insurance, or another compliance-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience using ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise ticketing system.
- Understanding of identity lifecycle management, including user provisioning, modifications, and deprovisioning.
- Working knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist::- Financial services or banking industry experience.
- Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or similar IAM certification.
- Experience supporting audit or compliance activities.
- Experience maintaining technical documentation and process records.
- Knowledge of enterprise identity governance and access management processes.
Responsibilities of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist:- Process user access requests, including provisioning, modifying, and deprovisioning accounts within established service level agreements.
- Monitor and manage assigned ticket queues while providing timely updates to requestors.
- Verify required approvals and ensure all access changes comply with security policies and documented procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support compliance, operational, and audit requirements.
- Troubleshoot identity and access issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve problems efficiently.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of IAM operations.
Work Location: This position is primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings or team events, typically about once per month. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Charleston, SC; or Winter Haven, FL areas. Candidates residing elsewhere in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, or South Carolina will also be considered.
