IBM FileNet Senior Developer with
5 to 8 years of hands on development expertise to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise grade content management and workflow automation solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of the end to end development lifecycle, writing clean code, building complex workflow models, and ensuring seamless integration across our core IBM FileNet P8 suit.
Key Responsibilities Advanced Custom Development - Core API Extensions: Develop, test, and implement custom Java solutions utilizing IBM FileNet Content Platform Engine (CPE) APIs.
- UI Customization: Build and customize IBM Content Navigator (ICN) utilizing JavaScript, Dojo Toolkit, and External Data Services (EDS).
- Plugin Engineering: Write custom ICN plugins, custom actions, and request/response filters to meet business requirements.
Workflow & Case Automation - Workflow Modeling: Design and build complex end to end business workflows using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and Case Manager.
- Component Integration: Develop custom Java step processors, component queues, and event handlers to automate process flows.
- Ingestion Architecture: Design and configure ingestion pipelines, metadata extraction rules, and archiving tasks using IBM Content Collector (ICC).
Deployment & Technical Excellence - Application Hosting: Package, deploy, and manage custom code components and EAR/WAR files on IBM WebSphere.
- Solution Deployment: Utilize FileNet Deployment Manager (FDM) to package and migrate assets across Dev, QA, and Production environments.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Conduct thorough code reviews, ensure adherence to security coding standards, and guide junior developers on the team.
- Performance Optimization: Debug and optimize custom code, SQL queries, and backend processing steps for maximum throughput.
Technical Skills & Qualifications - Experience: 5 to 8 years of core development experience within the IBM FileNet P8 ecosystem.
- Languages & UI: Strong mastery of Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Dojo Toolkit, HTML5, and RESTful web services.
- Core Components: Deep expertise in developing for CPE, ICN, and IBM Content Collector (ICC).
- Workflows: Extensive experience modeling processes inside IBM BAW and Case Manager.
- Middleware & Environment: Proficient with IBM WebSphere deployments and Linux/Unix environments.
- Databases: Strong proficiency writing and optimizing SQL Server or Oracle database queries.
Salary: Fulltime: The pay range for this role is CAD$100,000 - CA$120,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
