Full Job Description
Title:
IBCS Interface Analyst

Job Summary

The System of Systems (SoS) Interface Analyst plays a critical role in integrating next-generation sensors into the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) by analyzing system performance, supporting test events, and resolving complex multi-system interactions. The analyst requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support modeling and simulation, test planning and support, and data analysis and reporting. The analyst will work with Fire Control and System of System (SoS) Integration teams to identify SoS parameters and the impacts of those parameters to each component system (e.g. LTAMDS, Sentinel, IBCS, and Patriot). This requires missile defense system knowledge and familiarity with a wide variety of data reduction files from the tactical system and from simulations.

The position is a fully funded, full-time on contractor site role located in Huntsville, AL just outside of Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 in Redstone Gateway. The analyst works as a member of a team and spends a considerable amount of their day in a classified environment. Up to 25% travel for meetings and test events will be required.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Produce and update Test Plans, including development of scenarios, to test new/updated IBCS functionality
  • Support live and simulated test events, including pre-test planning, real-time monitoring, and post-test analysis
  • Analyze system-level performance across IBCS and integrated sensors to identify root causes of anomalies and assess operational impact and document findings in Test Reports
  • Analyze multi-sensor track data to assess correlation, fusion performance, and track quality
  • Evaluate the interface message exchange between IBCS and external systems (e.g., LTAMDS, Sentinel, Patriot)
  • Develop and maintain data reduction and analysis tools
  • Support technical interchange meetings, program reviews, and integration and test working groups and meetings
  • Assist with coordination between the IBCS government customer, component representatives, and system and simulation test teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrable knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, and Python
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience with Air & Missile Defense or Missile Defense Agency (MDA) weapon systems, data analysis, Flight Tests/Ground System Tests, and/or system performance analysis
  • Direct experience with IBCS architecture or Engagement Operations Centers (EOC)
  • Experience with sensor fusion, track management, or engagement planning algorithms
  • Familiarity with tactical data links and message formats
  • Experience analyzing distributed C2 systems
  • Experience supporting a Joint Analysis Team (JAT)
