Summary of Responsibilities:

Join a growing and successful investment banking team as part of a leading global bank in the Structured Trade Finance team (7STF8).  The US Investment Banking & Finance (IB&F) team of BBVA is a fast paced, high value-added team of finance professionals.

The Analyst in the STF team will work directly with senior team members in preparing external marketing materials, Letters of Interest (7LOIs8), pricing simulations, internal RAROEC scenarios, and assist in preparing internal approvals. You will also be an integral part of executing the structured solutions we present to clients from helping prepare term sheets, creating presentations, and executing the internal loan closing processes.

The STF team is responsible for structuring and executing complex, large-scale, Export & Agency finance mandates. The transactions are covered/guaranteed by Export Credit Agencies (7ECAs8), Multilateral Development Banks (7MDBs8), and private insurers with corporate, public sector, and project finance borrowers.

Position Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Economics.

  • Authorization to work in the United States.

  • Strong PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, analytical thinking, and writing abilities.

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once in a fast-paced environment.

  • An interest in international finance and geopolitics.

  • Stay abreast of macro themes and trends.

  • Understanding of basic financial reporting, macroeconomic, and accounting concepts.

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and proactive spirit.

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
