Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Hypersonics Technology Analysis Lead to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will work on projects involving hypersonic system and related technologies.

Our team supports state-of-the-art projects, blending technical skills and software design to perform research and analysis, modeling and simulation, software development, testing, and verification. Team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to understand project requirements and develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation's most pressing challenges.   • Understanding and developing solutions to support emerging needs in a dynamic environment.
  • Planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of products.
  • Conducting studies in support of ongoing and developmental hypersonic and missile defense programs with goal of transitioning to a service.
  • Developing plans for prototype programs and components for operational transition.
  • Developing and maintaining current knowledge of ongoing hypersonic and missile defense programs.
  • Understanding the software architectures and external interfaces to expand capabilities of command and control, fire control, communications, and model and simulations architectures.
  • Understand wargames and exercises related to ongoing hypersonic programs and be able to evaluate inputs needed and results.

The successful candidate will be an adaptable, agile, multi-talented, and versatile professional who is a consummate team player capable of researching, analyzing, and consolidating solutions to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Duties Include:
  • Support to the Joint Hypersonic Transition Office (JHTO) and the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) Principal Deputy for Hypersonics on various prototype hypersonic systems and components by acquiring and maintaining knowledge base on developmental programs.
  • Interface with various Government agencies, service labs, and others to understand hypersonic and missile defense efforts they are working on and their capabilities.
  • Develop and present briefings regarding hypersonic and missile defense efforts.
  • Attend various meetings and conferences to gain knowledge on these efforts and provide summary reports.
  • Conduct studies as requested to determine requirements, Joint Emergent Operational Need Statements (JEONS), Joint Urgent Operational Need Statement (JUONS), needs for hypersonic and missile defense programs to help justify their need and transition to a service.
  • Review modeling and simulation efforts that will support the analysis of weapons effectiveness and system performance to include wargames and exercises.
  • Identify requirements for hypersonic and missile defense programs.
  • Perform analysis that supporting the development of experiments to support the creation of weapon effectiveness results.
  • Understand the testing requirements and schedule of hypersonic and missile defense programs.
  • Interface with General/Flag Officers/SESs and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) regarding ongoing efforts in hypersonics and missile defense programs to include Golden Dome for America, Missile Defense Agency programs, and Office of the Secretary of War (OSW).
  • Sound oral communication and technical writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical approaches and findings to the team and the government customer and be able to present at various conferences as needed
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Travel: Up to 20 %
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Applicant will be required to have a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Education Requirements:
  • 15 years of experience with DoD / DoW system development, acquisition, fielding, and operations is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study from an accredited college or university and 2 years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, M&S, and algorithm development. Relevant experience in weapon system acquisition, fielding, and operations may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
  • A relevant master's degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for 2 years of relevant work experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in developmental test and/or operational test and evaluation for DoD programs is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the DoW PPBE process is desired.
  • Experience with the verification and validation of modeling and simulation tools is preferred.
  • Degree in engineering is desired, but not a requirement.
