Primary Objective: To advise managers and supervisors in all HR practices, to provide information to employees about regulations, contract language, and policies. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function for a manufacturing plant in Morrisville, PA. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with the Plant Manager to develop and implement HR policies and program that support the plant's business objectives and promote a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and implementing HR plans and procedures for company personnel.
- Manage the full cycle of recruitment process including posting job ads, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
- Develop and implement employee training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the plant's workforce.
- Manage employee relations issues such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances.
- Administer benefits to employees, serving as liaison between carriers and employees.
- Manage the performance management process including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and developing performance improvement plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to employment laws, labor laws, and safety regulations.
- Manage HR-related record keeping, including employee files, HRIS system, and other related documents.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Thorough understanding of employment laws, labor laws, and safety regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred but not required
