Status: Exempt Salaried
Overall Responsibilities- Directs and coordinates human resources activities in compliance with company philosophy, objectives, and legal requirements
- Partners with the Operations Manager and local leadership team
- Recommends and directs the installation of programs and policies that create or reinforce a positive employee relations atmosphere
- Participates in corporate human resources activities and teams
- Promotes a positive work environment and people-focused programs and processes that foster continuous development and support of the facility
- Leads all HR activities for the Midland site including but not limited to recruitment, engagement, compensation administration, organizational development, and labor relations
Educational and Experience Requirements- Degree in related field and/or minimum of ten years' progressive experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, tact, maturity and flexibility
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with employee relations including coaching and resolving grievances
- Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to gain trust and work through others to achieve goals
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Labor relations and collective bargaining experience is a plus
- Collaborative and energetic with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work independently and in a high-paced team environment with changing priorities
