This position is responsible for managing the Human Resources Information System (BusinessPlus) with all data related to pay assignments, work history, seniority information, monthly and annual rollover of data, position control, records related to experience and advancement of all employees, certifications, annual contracts and assurance letters, and all other employee records-related data in the HRIS. In coordination with other operations managers, this position plays a vital part in ensuring all the data in the HRIS feeds through to other systems accurately and timely as well as balancing workload between all areas of Human Resources operations. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Human Resources Operations.

  • SALARY: $126,846 - $154,461 Experience increments depend on experience in the same or similar permanent position.


Responsibilities

  1. System Administrator for HRIS (Business Plus) system including all training, troubleshooting, updated testing & implementation, etc.
  2. Provide supervision and direction to the HRIS records team ensuring that tasks align with district, team and individual strategic goals. Establish the work schedule, training, and distribution of assignments for team.
  3. Oversee system-wide HRIS data integrity efforts and strategic goals in partnership with HR Administrators all aligned to district policy, procedure, CBAs, and state and federal laws. Ensure systems support consistent and accurate details around all records in the HRIS.
  4. Partner closely with administrators in Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate accounting structure and pay processes. Lead the implementation of state and federal mandates around changes to any data sets.
  5. Serve on the HR Manager Leadership Team, leading the entire department in their bi-weekly meetings with focus on data and HRIS integrity.
  6. Research, analyze, prepare and present data related to employees.
  7. Manage the data in B+ related to any up-stream or down-stream related software and integration.
  8. Establish new standards and processes for entry of data and maintenance of data through the employee cycle.
  9. Partner with all district departments to assist in all aspects of Human Resources personnel data and payroll entry.
  10. Plan and facilitate outreach to vendor and partner school districts around HRIS's.
  11. Meet with various school building and district department stakeholders within assigned duties.
  12. Consistently manage integrity of the data in B+ with internal audit reports, error reports from B+ and all other monitoring techniques.
  13. Provide information, clarification, and solutions to certificated and classified staff and other departments, agencies, and public regarding salary placement, records, supplemental payments, and district personnel policies.
  14. Participate in screening, interview and selection process for new hires within Human Resources.
  15. Perform other duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Executive Director of Human Resources and HR Administrators.

Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated ability and aptitude to perform the responsibilities listed.
  2. Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, education, or related fields preferred.
  3. 5+ years of related experience required in the field of Human Resources.
  4. Demonstrated successful experience working within a large and complex organization with multi-faceted stakeholders such as building leaders, supervisors/managers, labor unions, community groups, other agencies, and the public.
  5. Demonstrated successful experience in personnel administration in a medium-to-large school district or organization.
  6. Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of the applicable laws, regulations, and emerging practices pertaining to assigned responsibilities to include knowledge of current issues and trends in education and human resources activities.
  7. Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships and interact successfully with others, including in resolving conflicts; motivating others; and designing interventions or resolutions to assist others in meeting organizational goals.
  8. Demonstrated commitment and ability to continue one's own lifelong learning, to develop talent and leadership skills in others, to provide critical feedback, and to receive critical feedback in order to maintain high standards for one's self and the organization.
  9. Demonstrated success incorporating culturally competent strategies and utilizing culturally responsive communication and engagement strategies with all members of the school community.
