Position Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing daily human resources operations and ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and organizational objectives. This role manages key HR functions including immigration processes, employee offboarding, drug testing administration, and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) management while supporting employee relations, recruitment, and workforce administration.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
• Own and maintain employee records and confidential HR documentation.
• Lead performance management and employee development activities.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and audits as required.
• Coordinate employment-based immigration processes including visa sponsorships, work permits, and permanent residency applications.
• Liaise with immigration attorneys, government agencies, and employees regarding case status and documentation.
• Track visa expiration dates and ensure timely renewals and compliance.
• Own and maintain accurate immigration records and public access files where required.
• Educate employees and managers on immigration procedures and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to all immigration-related laws and regulations.
• Manage the employee separation process including resignations, terminations, and retirements.
• Conduct and document exit interviews to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate final pay, benefits termination, COBRA notifications, and return of company property.
• Ensure timely deactivation of system access and security credentials.
• Own and maintain separation documentation and ensure compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, payroll, and department managers to ensure smooth offboarding transitions.
• Serve as the primary administrator for the HRIS platform.
• Own and maintain employee data integrity, system accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Manage HRIS user access, security settings, workflows, and system updates.
• Generate HR reports, analytics, and dashboards for leadership and compliance reporting.
• Troubleshoot HRIS issues and coordinate with vendors or IT support as needed.
• Train HR staff and managers on HRIS functionality and best practices.
• Drive system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements.
• Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership with additional responsibilities:
• Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business goals, including workforce development programs
• Conduct analysis on attrition trends in the business and recommend actions to maintain a strong work culture
• Pursue and win HR and company culture awards
• Identify and implement HR process improvements and automation initiatives including:
• Identification of automation opportunities across HR processes
• Improving data-driven decision-making capabilities

Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory experience
• Experience managing immigration processes, HRIS systems, employee relations, and compliance programs.

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Deltek or similar systems.

Qualifications Desired:
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR desired.
• Experience leading HR process improvements
