Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Manager will lead all site-level HR activities for Bonnell Aluminum's Clearfield, UT manufacturing plant. This role partners closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to build organizational capability, support a safe and productive workplace, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure consistent execution of HR policies, employment practices, and compliance requirements. The HR Manager serves as a hands-on business partner and trusted advisor across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, training, compensation support, payroll coordination, and HR compliance. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources for US Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Plant Manager and site leadership team to align HR priorities with plant goals, production needs, safety expectations, and business objectives.
- Lead employee relations activities, including coaching leaders, resolving workplace concerns, conducting investigations, supporting corrective actions, and helping maintain a respectful and accountable culture.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting and selection for hourly, operational roles in partnership with department leaders.
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and integration for new employees, ensuring a positive and consistent experience for plant team members.
- Support workforce planning, staffing levels, succession planning, retention strategies, employee development, and talent review processes.
- Administer and support HR programs, policies, and procedures related to attendance, leave, accommodations, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company standards, including EEO, wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, OSHA-related HR coordination, record retention, and audit readiness.
- Partner with Environmental, Health & Safety and operations leaders to reinforce Bonnell Aluminum's safety-first culture and support programs that protect employees, colleagues, and the community.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends, including turnover, absenteeism, staffing effectiveness, employee relations activity, and engagement indicators; recommend actions to improve plant performance.
- Provide leadership, direction, and development to local HR staff.
- Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and security of personnel records, HR systems data, and sensitive employee information.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field;
- Five or more years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or plant environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting employee relations, investigations, coaching leaders, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, and compliance.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices; ability to apply policies consistently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, judgment, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and provide practical solutions to complex people-related issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; experience with Ceridian/Dayforce or similar systems is helpful.
Preferred Qualifications- HR leadership experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or another industrial production environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-shift operations and hourly production teams.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience with workforce planning, succession planning, engagement initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based on-site at the Clearfield, UT manufacturing plant and requires regular interaction with employees, supervisors, and leaders across production, maintenance, quality, safety, and administrative functions. The role will require presence on the plant floor, support for multiple shifts, and occasional schedule flexibility to address employee relations, staffing, training, or operational needs.
