We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and experienced Human Resources Manager, Bilingual (Spanish) in our Redondo Beach, CA location!

Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager leads the HR function for our airline catering facility and serves as the primary HR partner to the General Manager and operational leadership team. This role is responsible for driving HR strategy, employee relations, talent development, and compliance for a large operational workforce. The HR Manager also leads the local HR team and ensures consistent execution of HR processes that support operational performance, employee engagement, and workforce stability.

Onsite Requirement: This is a fully onsite position, five days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to the General Manager and leadership team, providing guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, and people strategy
  • Lead and develop the local HR team including HR Generalists and Coordinators while ensuring consistent execution of HR processes
  • Coach managers and supervisors on performance management, disciplinary actions, and effective people leadership practices
  • Lead complex employee relations investigations and partner with leadership to resolve workplace issues while minimizing organizational risk
  • Use workforce data including attendance, turnover, and staffing trends to identify operational challenges and implement HR solutions
  • Support hiring strategies, onboarding processes, and internal talent development to maintain stable staffing levels across operational departments
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and industry regulations applicable to the airline catering environment
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that strengthen retention, communication, and workplace culture
  • Labor Relations:
    • Serve as the primary HR partner supporting labor relations at the facility including interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements
    • Lead grievance investigations, grievance meetings, and resolution processes in partnership with operations leadership and union representatives
    • Provide guidance to managers on contract provisions related to scheduling, seniority, discipline, and job assignments to ensure consistent application
    • Partner with senior leadership and labor relations leadership on collective bargaining preparation, negotiations support, and contract implementation


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive HR experience including experience supporting operational workforces
  • 2 or more years of experience leading or supervising HR team members preferred
  • Strong employee relations experience including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management
  • Experience partnering with operational leadership in warehouse, manufacturing, hospitality, or logistics environments
  • Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and workforce management practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with ability to balance operational needs with HR best practices
  • Strong communication skills both in English and Spanish
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
