Job Description:

The Strategic Procurement & Planning Division (SPPD) is looking for an HR Generalist to support HR strategies aligned with the business objectives, shape and promote culture building initiatives focused on employee engagement and development and provide guidance on HR policies and practices.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with SPPD leaders as a strategic advisor helping to identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Align HR policies and programs for the business unit and region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Act as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee reviews, compensation and benefits, etc.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to leaders

What You Will Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
  • Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
  • HR: Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies regarding human resources management.
  • Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.

Additional Information

  • This role can be located in Mossville, IL, Peoria, IL or Irving, TX
  • This role requires the employee to be on site Monday to Friday
  • Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
  • Travel requirements are minimal (less than 10%).

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
