Human Resources DirectorJob SummaryMount Joseph at Waterville is seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing the human resources department, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws, and developing and implementing HR programs and initiatives that support the organization's goals and values.
Responsibilities- Direct the human resources department, including recruitment, talent management, benefits administration, and employee relations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO
- Develop and implement HR programs and initiatives that support the organization's goals and values
- Collaborate with department managers to select, train, develop, and evaluate employees
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze results to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Compile and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform organizational decision-making
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, management, and other stakeholders
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters
- Participate in community surveys and committees as needed
- Ensure a positive and productive work environment that promotes employee engagement and organizational excellence
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to frequently changing work parameters and priorities
- Physical mobility and agility, including the ability to move from place to place, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to relate to and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals
Work Environment- The Human Resources Director will primarily work inside, with frequent kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting
- May be subject to exposure to noise, infectious waste, diseases, and hazardous chemicals
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position and work in a fast-paced environment
