Job Title: Human Resources Director
Department: Human Resources

Position Summary

The Human Resources Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all Human Resources functions across the organization. This position partners with executive leadership and managers to develop and implement HR strategies that support the Company's business objectives, culture, and long-term growth.

The HR Director oversees talent acquisition, team member relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, compliance, HR policies, payroll/HRIS administration, workforce planning, and organizational development. The position serves as a trusted advisor to leadership while promoting a positive, professional, accountable, and team-member-focused workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the Company's business objectives and organizational goals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, executive leadership, and managers on workforce and organizational matters.
  • Lead and develop the Human Resources team and establish clear roles, responsibilities, service standards, and priorities.
  • Provide HR leadership and support across all Company locations to promote consistent policies and practices.
  • Oversee recruiting, interviewing, selection, onboarding, promotions, transfers, and workforce planning.
  • Develop strategies to attract, retain, engage, and develop high-performing team members.
  • Provide guidance to managers regarding team member relations, performance concerns, counseling, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
  • Conduct or oversee workplace investigations and ensure concerns are addressed promptly, objectively, and appropriately.
  • Oversee the Company's performance management process and coach managers on effective feedback, goal setting, accountability, and development.
  • Develop and maintain competitive compensation programs, job descriptions, salary structures, incentive programs, and other compensation practices.
  • Oversee team member benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), and other Company-sponsored benefits.
  • Partner with parent company to evaluate benefit costs, plan design and utilization.
  • Develop and administer training, career development, succession planning, and tuition or certification programs.
  • Lead team member engagement initiatives, including surveys, analysis of results, action planning, and follow-up.
  • Develop, review, communicate, and consistently administer Company policies and the Team Member Handbook.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and recommend changes necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Oversee required employment records, reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide oversight of HRIS, payroll-related HR processes, personnel records, and HR data integrity.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics, dashboards, and key performance indicators, including turnover, retention, recruiting, engagement, training, compensation, and benefit trends.
  • Prepare and manage the annual Human Resources budget.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify HR processes, improve service to managers and team members, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Promote effective communication, collaboration, accountability, and consistent leadership practices throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties and strategic HR initiatives as assigned.


Leadership Responsibilities

The Human Resources Director is expected to model the Company's values and establish a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, fairness, and integrity.

The HR Director should be visible and accessible to team members and managers while maintaining the appropriate balance between advocating for team members and protecting the legitimate business interests of the Company.

The position is also responsible for developing the capabilities of managers so that routine people-management responsibilities are effectively handled at the management level with appropriate HR guidance.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field required.

Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant HR management or leadership responsibility. Experience supporting multiple locations or business units is strongly preferred.

Key Measures of Success

Success in this position may be measured through team member retention and turnover, time-to-fill and quality of hires, engagement survey results and action-plan completion, leadership development, benefit and compensation effectiveness, HR compliance, HR service levels, succession planning, and the consistency of HR practices across Company locations.

Physical and Travel Requirements

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. Periodic travel to Company branch locations, meetings, training sessions, and other business-related events is required.
