Full Job Description
Human Resources Business Partner

As a Human Resources Business Partner at Thrive Market, you hold a key position in providing essential support to our fulfillment team at our Reno, NV facility. Your primary focus will be on fostering positive relationships among Thrive Market employees while overseeing a spectrum of HR functions, including but not limited to benefits administration, employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and payroll management.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws through periodic audits.
  • Manage benefits administration, including reviewing benefits with employees and processing enrollments, cancellations, or changes.
  • Conduct detailed timecard reviews to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Oversee leave of absence processes.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and coordinate with local temporary staffing agencies, as well as conduct exit interviews.
  • Maintain HRIS records, employee roster, and compile necessary reports.
  • Investigate employee relations claims and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Engage in employee appreciation events, volunteering, and cultural activities to promote employee engagement.
  • Propose new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency of HR services.
  • Handle unemployment notices, represent the company for local unemployment claims, and manage workers' compensation case files.
  • Assist in preparing and facilitating change management efforts.
  • Assist in preparing and facilitating the roll out of new programs.
  • Collaborate with management to foster a positive work environment that values diverse talents and abilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong understanding of basic practices and principles.
  • Experience in distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing, particularly with multiple shifts and a large hourly population.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of providing honest, direct feedback.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, results-driven, and open to continuous improvement and change.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, HRIS, and payroll systems.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required.

  • Compensation Description - The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00
  • Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and geographic location.
