HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across assigned Business Units. This role goes beyond traditional HR support-you'll partner directly with leaders to strengthen teams, develop leadership capability, improve employee engagement, and drive business success through people strategies.

What You'll DoPartner with Leaders- Serve as the primary HR advisor for assigned Business Units.
- Coach People Leaders through employee relations matters, performance conversations, and organizational challenges.
- Provide practical, business-focused guidance on complex employee situations.
Develop Leadership Capability- Build trusted relationships with leaders at all levels.
- Facilitate leadership discussions, talent reviews, and development planning.
- Support leadership assessments, onboarding, and growth initiatives.
Strengthen Engagement & Culture- Partner with leaders to turn engagement survey results into meaningful action.
- Conduct stay interviews to identify trends and opportunities.
- Champion an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with Shive-Hattery's values.
Drive Talent & Organizational Effectiveness- Support succession planning, internal mobility, and talent development strategies.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition partners to address workforce needs.
- Identify organizational trends, retention risks, and opportunities to improve team performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, Employee Relations, or business-facing HR experience.
- Experience coaching leaders and partnering with leadership on complex people matters.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to balance employee advocacy with business priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- AEC industry experience is a plus.
