Through this role, you'll have exposure to real systems, real users, and real consequences - the kind of experience that's hard to find anywhere else early in your career.

Who You'll Work With

You'll join our Data and Software team - a six-year-old group born from a simple vision: data collection and access shouldn't be cumbersome. We build functional, reliable products to enable data collection and support astronauts and researchers to build real-world systems. Our work spans flight operations, EVA (Extravehicular Activity) planning, human performance, and exploration mission systems. Recent and ongoing work from team members includes:

  • EVA Mission Systems Software (EMSS) - software systemssupporting science and operations in the planning and execution of ArtemisEVAs.
  • Human thermal analysis and core body temperatureprediction during simulated lunar EVA tasks.
  • Metabolic consumption modeling for ISS EVAplanning.
  • Helmet-mounted display technology for EVA training inNASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab.
  • Unobtrusive measurement strategies for individual andteam competencies across analog environments.
