Full Job Description
About This Role

Crusoe is seeking a strategic and collaborative HSE Training Manager to lead the development, organization, and delivery of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) training across the company. This role partners closely with HSE subject matter experts and teams across the business to make sure every employee, wherever they work at Crusoe, has the knowledge and skills to work safely and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

You don't need to be an HSE subject matter expert. You need to be fluent in HSE topics and comfortable navigating technical and regulatory content, skilled at translating that content into clear, engaging, easy-to-digest training, and passionate about how adults actually learn. This is a full-time position.

What You'll Be Working On
  • Content Translation & Instructional Design: Partner with HSE and subject matter experts across the business to convert technical, regulatory, and safety content into training materials that are clear, accurate, and easy for a diverse workforce to absorb and apply.
  • Adult Learning & Media Strategy: Apply adult learning principles to how HSE training is designed and delivered. Help the team decide the right mix of media for each topic and audience - video, instructor-led sessions, eLearning modules, job aids, hands-on practice - based on what will actually drive retention and behavior change.
  • Gap Analysis & Learning Plan Development: Work cross-functionally with HSE and teams across the business to identify gaps in current training offerings and content, wherever that work happens. Determine which learning plans new or updated content needs to be added to, and keep learning plans current as regulations, equipment, and processes evolve.
  • LMS Administration: Build, organize, and maintain HSE learning plans and paths within the company's LMS (WorkRamp or Workday), ensuring content, assignments, and due dates are structured for accurate compliance tracking and a straightforward employee experience.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that give leaders clear visibility into training progress, completion rates, and compliance status across the company.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HSE and other teams and training partners across the company to align HSE training with broader workforce development strategy, avoiding duplication and ensuring consistency wherever employees work.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use completion data, feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HSE training and drive ongoing improvements to content and delivery.
  • Travel: Up to 25% travel to support training delivery, gap analysis, and collaboration across the business, wherever employees work.

What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Training Experience: 5+ years of experience in a training, learning & development, or instructional design role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (education, safety, communications, or similar).
  • Instructional Design & Adult Learning: Demonstrated experience designing training for adult learners, with an understanding of different learning styles and how to translate technical content into effective learning experiences.
  • HSE Fluency: Comfortable working with health, safety, and environmental topics and terminology without needing to be the subject matter expert - you know how to ask the right questions and translate the answers.
  • LMS Experience: Hands-on experience administering a Learning Management System (WorkRamp, Workday Learning, or similar), including building learning plans, managing assignments, and pulling reports.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with HSE and teams across a range of functions and work environments to identify needs and deliver solutions.
  • Data & Reporting: Comfortable building reports and dashboards that translate training data into insights leaders can act on.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with subject matter experts, employees across the business, and leadership alike.

Bonus Points
  • Professional certifications in training and development (e.g., CTT+).
  • Direct experience with WorkRamp or Workday Learning specifically.
  • OSHA 10/30 or other HSE-related certifications (helpful for fluency, not required for subject-matter expertise).
  • Experience supporting training programs for a distributed or varied workforce (multiple locations, remote/field teams, or a mix of work environments).

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation and equity packages
  • Restricted Stock Units
  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs
  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
  • Employer contributions to HSA account
  • Paid parental leave
  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
  • Professional development & tuition reimbursement
  • Mental health & wellness support
  • Commuter benefits (parking & transit)
  • Cell phone stipend
  • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary
  • Volunteer time off
  • Global travel insurance & emergency assistance
  • Daily meals allowance
  • Additional perks & programs specific to location

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $120,000 -$145,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. (#INDCORP)
