Full Job Description
SLB is seeking a proactive HSE Specialist to support the development and sustainment of a strong Health, Safety, and Environment culture across the Midland location. This position partners with operational leaders to ensure HSE expectations are integrated into daily activities, enabling safe and compliant operations while supporting business objectives.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, driving continuous improvement initiatives, promoting workforce engagement, and helping build an environment where safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence are fundamental to every decision and activity.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the location's HSE Management System and associated programs.
  • Develop site-specific procedures, work instructions, risk controls, and HSE plans to address operational requirements.
  • Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, ensuring timely follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate HSE training, onboarding, and competency awareness activities for employees and contractors.
  • Facilitate incident investigations and support the identification of preventive and corrective measures.
  • Monitor HSE performance indicators, maintain reporting accuracy within QUEST, and analyze location trends.
  • Serve as the primary HSE liaison with contractors, regulatory agencies, and local stakeholders.
  • Promote employee participation in HSE initiatives and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, technical diploma, or equivalent certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in the energy, industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, auditing methodologies, and incident investigation processes.
  • Experience supporting operational teams in implementing HSE programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with QUEST or similar reporting systems is preferred.
