Full Job Description
The HSE Manager provides technical support to senior management on all relevant safety related subjects. The HSE Manager serves as an expert in all HSE matters at Precision Well Servicing (PWS), using their role to inform, guide and protect the company, its employees and other relevant stakeholders during day-to-day activities in the field.

The HSE Manager facilitates compliance with all Precision Well Servicing client's standards and all relevant legal (provincial and federal), industry and company regulations and standards.

Essential Job Functions
• Lead and mentor a team of HSE department staff on goals and objectives
• Implement, oversee, and adapt policies and programs to improve Precision's HSE performance.
• Lead the development of new techniques and standards
• Directs HSE Team based on general policy and management guidance and provides interpretation of compliance requirements
• Serves as a business partner in advancement of HSE performance for Precision and sharing lessons with the senior management team to support advancement of HSE performance company wide
• Through networks and membership of industry bodies, maintains current knowledge of and disseminates information on relevant actual and potential incident from which PWS can learn and prevent recurrence
• Supervises and develops HSE resources, and interfaces with management level positions, clients, and government agencies within area of responsibility
• Build strong relationships with the HSE departments of Precision's clients
• Ensure all employees, facilities, equipment, and work practices comply with federal and provincial local and customer regulations
• Build and deliver HSE presentations to Safety regulators, the senior management team, and clients
• Act as the point of contact for all customer inquiries and requests related to HSE programs

Secondary Job Functions
• Ensure competency of HSE team to deliver HSE training and awareness to the field
• Develop a strong internal HSE Program for Precision that includes accident prevention, safety, hazmat, incident reporting, environmental protection, and emergency plans
• Maintain proper safety records in accordance with all applicable regulations including documentation of internal safety meeting attendants and details of items covered
• Identify any potential unsafe working conditions/practices and recommend corrective action plans that prevent injury, accidents, and harmful environmental impact
• Supports the setting and implementation of audit plans, and monitors follow through on corrective actions
• Expected to create, monitor and report process, occupational safety objectives and targets for field/operational development as it pertains to HSE
• This role is required to react to change productively and to undertake other tasks as assigned

Working Conditions

The duties of this position will be performed in both an office and field environment. Regular field visits are an essential component of the role and will represent a significant portion of work activities throughout the year. The amount of field work will fluctuate based on operational activity levels and business needs. Office-based responsibilities will include planning, reporting, documentation, and administrative duties that support field operations. This position requires flexibility to work non-traditional hours that align with rig operations, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• HSE experience is required; however, candidates with strong operational leadership experience, such as Service Rig Manager or Driller experience, may be considered with fewer years of direct HSE experience. Demonstrated safety leadership and a strong understanding of field operations are essential.
• Minimum of 5 years significant experience in the industry; leadership or management experience is required.
