We have an exciting opportunity for a HSE Coordinator in the Saline, MI area. This is a direct hire role where you will need previous experience within the industrial / manufacturing plant space with strong emphasis in handling auditing as well as experience handling work comp claims.
Location: Saline, MI
Pay: $85-$95K DOE

Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Associates degree within Engineering or Environmental, Health and Safety OR similar focus
- Professional Safety Certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Work Comp experience
- Auditing experience
- Management Systems Experience
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist HSE Manager
- Monitoring of legal compliance/management of site relations with local government and regulatory organizations
- Communicate safety and environmental policies and coach and support the site employees.
- Supervise first aid and local medical care procedures as well as coordinate emergency actions and handle initial accident inquiries
- Monitor and stay on top of all WC claims
- Handle work instructions for PPE usage and safety protocols as well as ordering of supplies
- Support the reporting of legal, insurance and other HSE indicators lost time, medical treatment, first aid and Near Miss, Audit results, environmental data
- Oversee continuous improvement ideas
