HRIS & Talent Acquisition IT Specialist Richmond, VA, USA - 9954 Mayland Drive- hybrid (2-3 times/week) Eligible for benefits (dental, health), 401K, generous PTO, and a management incentive program Position Summary: The HRIS & Talent Acquisition IT Specialist serves as the primary technical system owner for Dayforces Talent Acquisition and Onboarding modules. Leveraging Dayforces single-instance platform, this role configures, optimizes, and maintains end-to-end recruitment workflowsfrom candidate sourcing and applicant tracking to offer management, pre-boarding, and employee conversion. This role serves as the bridge between Talent Acquisition operations, HR, and IT, ensuring system configurations align with recruiting processes while maintaining data integrity, security, and integration stability. Key Responsibilities 1. Dayforce TA & Onboarding Module Administration  Configure and maintain Dayforce Recruiting, Onboarding, and Candidate Management modules within the Dayforce tenant.  Manage recruitment workflows, job posting rules, custom candidate application forms, scorecards, offer letter templates, and approval hierarchies.  Configure and optimize the Dayforce Onboarding Portal, including custom task lists, digital form generation (W-4, I-9/E-Verify), policy acknowledgments, and new-hire communication flows.  Oversee Career Site Builder configurations to ensure branded, mobile-responsive external and internal career portals. 2. System Integration & Talent Ecosystem  Manage Dayforce Web Services APIs, Webhooks, and data syncs connecting Dayforce Recruiting with external sourcing channels (LinkedIn, Indeed), assessment vendors, background check providers (e.g., Checkr, HireRight), and e-Signature platforms.  Manage background check integration packages and ad-hoc candidate data synchronization within Dayforce.  Utilize Dayforce Data Transformations (XML / XSLT) to configure and maintain automated data feeds between Dayforce and third-party talent platforms. 3. Analytics, Compliance & Security  Author, schedule, and optimize custom recruiting reports and executive dashboards using Dayforce Analytics / Ad-Hoc Reporting.  Track key recruitment metrics including Time-to-Fill, Candidate Pipeline Velocity, Sourcing Channel Yield, and Diversity Sourcing.  Ensure data compliance with EEOC/OFCCP requirements, state-specific pay transparency laws, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) within candidate profiles.  Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Feature Access, and Data Access sets for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates to protect sensitive applicant PII. 4. Release Management & System Upgrades  Serve as Tier 3 technical support for candidate conversion errors, offer generation failures, or integration breakdowns.  Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing during Dayforce Service Packs, weekly release updates, and feature rollouts.  Partner with Ceridian/Dayforce customer support and external implementation partners to resolve platform bugs and deploy new module enhancements. Minimum Qualifications:  Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience. Required Qualifications & Skills  Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources Technology, or equivalent practical experience.  Experience: 4+ years of hands-on technical configuration experience within the Dayforce (Ceridian) HCM platform, with a strong focus on Dayforce Recruiting and Onboarding.  Technical Expertise:  Demonstrated administrative experience configuring Dayforce Recruiting workflows, job boards, offer letter logic, and onboarding packages.  Hands-on proficiency with Dayforce Analytics / Ad-Hoc Report Writer.  Working knowledge of XML/XSLT data transformations, API integrations, Webhooks, and SFTP file management.  Functional Knowledge:  Solid understanding of the end-to-end talent acquisition lifecycle, from requisition creation to employee onboarding.  Familiarity with recruitment compliance regulations (EEO, OFCCP, I-9/E-Verify compliance, Pay Transparency laws).
