Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Payroll Specialist, you will be providing organized and dependable support to payroll activities for our Canadian companies, ensuring accurate bi-weekly payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and exceptional employee service as a key member of the Americas Payroll & Time team.

You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

You will follow a hybrid work model based in our office in either Oakville, ON or Brockville, ON.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Americas Payroll & Time team, you'll create impact by ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time while maintaining full compliance with Canadian federal and provincial regulations.

Your main responsibilities are to:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian entities, including onboarding new hires, salary adjustments, position changes, and terminations in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Analyze and execute compliance with local, provincial, and federal payroll regulations across multiple provinces.
  • Respond to employee inquiries through ServiceNow tickets and phone calls, delivering timely and professional support.
  • Prepare and document monthly payroll audits and support yearly audit processes with external and government auditors.
  • Develop and deliver monthly reports on overtime, working hours, headcount, and other key payroll metrics.
  • Partner with local HR to administer benefits in payroll systems and maintain accurate employee records in Employee Central.

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a process-driven payroll professional with Canadian payroll expertise, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR and finance stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality. We would also imagine that you have:
  • 5+ years of extensive payroll processing experience, including multi-province Canadian payroll.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and income tax requirements.
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English.

It is a plus if you also have:
  • Experience working in a large global organization.
  • Experience implementing payroll projects or system migrations.
  • Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:
  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
