SummaryReporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Senior HR Manager supporting HPS Americas
, is responsible for formulating partnerships to support the Hardware Platform Solutions Engineering teams on all aspects of human resources practices. This role will appeal to a hands-on HR Business Partner that excels at working with global leaders and employees and enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting into everything from HR strategy to Employee Relations.
Team: 1 Direct report; Supporting approximately 300+ employees located in Toronto, Canada, United States (primarily Austin, Richardson, California)
Detailed Description- Partners with the VP of Human Resources and key leadership teams to drive strategic HR initiatives, focusing on organizational design, business transformation, and talent development.
- Works closely with business unit leaders and acts as a strong business partner to provide strategic advice and guidance on HR issues, workforce trends, and workforce planning.
- Diagnoses issues and identifies HR implications of business strategy, partnering with Centers of Excellence (COEs) for program design and with business leaders to execute on the strategy.
- Responsible for executing on all aspects of the talent lifecycle and proactively identifies and analyzes talent issues before they impact the business.
- Partners with the Talent Attraction organization and business leaders to interview and hire key talent for the organization.
- Plays a key role in developing the next generation of leaders through unique and innovative approaches with a focus on diversity, including supporting the succession planning and talent review process.
- Provides change management support in relation to business transformation and reorganization as well as any HR initiatives or annual programs/policies that impact their areas of responsibility and the broader organization.
- Works with the HR COE's by providing business input into the development and execution of HR programs and practices including compensation and incentive programs.
- Partners with business leaders to build and lead an integrated plans that capture the HR requirements necessary for business success and transformation.
- Provides leadership to the business leaders in developing, implementing and follow-up on action plans to address employee engagement issues.
- Leverages data and insights to develop People Strategies and programs to drive business performance.
- Supports diversity and inclusion initiatives
- 25% travel required as necessary.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies- 8 plus years of experience as a Senior HR generalist or, an equivalent combination and background across all facets of HR, including Change Management, Transformation, Organization Design and Talent Management.
- Broad understanding of all HR disciplines and best in class HR programs and practices.
- HR, experience in a manufacturing or advanced technology environment would be a distinct asset.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly develop insights on the global organization and leaders.
- Extensive use of collaboration and coaching skills
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work in an ambigious environment
- Superior oral and written communication skills and comfort interacting with senior management.
- In-depth analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong impact and influencing skills combined with gravitas.
- Change management skills and experience would be a definite asset.
- Experience with diversity and inclusion programs
Physical Demands - Duties of this position are generally performed in good working conditions.
- Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required
Typical Experience- Eight plus years of relevant experience
Typical Education- Bachelor's Degree in Business or in Human Resource Management, Required
- Master's Degree in Business, Human Resources or Organizational Development, Preferred
- CHRP or SHRM-CP or PHR Certification, Preferred
