We are looking for a HR Manager. The HR Manager provides HR support and guidance to our employees and leaders on a wide variety of front-line HR issues, including implementation of critical HR processes at our Maryville, Missouri Operations Facility. Primary focus is on employee relations related matters. Serves as a strong partner in solving people related issues requiring decision making skills and solid judgment to contribute to a high-performance culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coach and consult employees and leaders on critical HR processes as needed (e.g., staffing initiatives, onboarding, performance management, development planning, rewards planning, policy interpretation); serve as a local extension to align corporate business strategies to ensure desired outcomes are met; Provide recommendations on day to day problems and issues.
- Serve as a subject matter in employee relations to conduct investigations and lead cases to effective closure; advise managers on appropriate corrective actions.
- Recommend revisions to policies and practices to align with best practice
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
- Manages payroll processes for plant hourly workforce.
- Bring site leaders together to drive a unified site people strategy that aligns with functional people strategies; Would include working with a plant leadership team to:
- Review trends/ key people metrics and discuss/ address improvement opportunities at the Kettering operation.
- Drive progress against engagement action plans at the site level (inclusive of diversity and inclusion, local engagement committee/ community initiatives)
- Help communicate key business updates/ strategy/ leadership messages; serve as communications change champion
- Create and drive change management plans to drive major changes at the site level
- Reinforce and support talent development and succession action plans in partnership with the plant Leadership team.
- Provide other support as needed based on business need (e.g., project teams, support Business Partner work)
- Partner and provide support to the HR support teams (Compensation and Benefits, Legal compliance Talent acquisition) including annual processes
Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration a related field.
Skills & Experience:- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an HR plant leadership role in a manufacturing / distribution environment
- Strong, credible HR resource to business leaders; comfortable challenging them as needed to drive the best outcomes for the organization
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Experience with Worker's compensation claims and cost control
- Experience with recognition and engagement programs and processes
- Project management; experience in greenfield or high growth environment
- Labor relations and contract negotiations experience highly desirable
- PHR or SPHR certification, desirable
- Evidence of the ability to practice and coach managers with a high level of confidentiality
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment; Must include knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably SAP
